Sophie Liljedahl

Sophie Liljedahl, Ph. D., C. Psych, completed her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2010 at the University of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada). She completed her residency (2009) and post-doctoral fellowship (2011) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) / University of Toronto. Sophie is a licensed clinical psychologist in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She relocated to Sweden in August 2012.

In Sweden Sophie works as the Head of Research, Treatment, and Program Development at a residential treatment facility in Skåne (Finjagården). She collaborates with the Southern node of the National Self-Harm Project on a number of local and national initiatives. She is a current contributor to a systematic review of school-based self-harm prevention programs (SBU: Swedish Council on Health Technology).

Sophie teaches in the Department of Psychology at Lund University in the free-standing courses, the Psychologists’ Program, and the CBT branch of the Psychotherapists’ Program. Her interests are clinical supervision, assessment, and clinical research in relation to self-harm, suicide and related difficulties (addictions, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders), as well as prevention and the development of evidence-based treatments.
