"The program is great for those who are looking to be involved in research"
Caroline Adolfsson already had a double degree in Criminal justice and psychology, but discovered that she didn´t want to work with law, and longed back to psychology.
– I have now finished my first year of the master program in Psychology and I feel happy with my choice.
– The master program is quite new and it is wonderful to be able to give some input to the further development of the program. It has many great momentum already, she says.
Originally from New York
Caroline is originally from New York, but has a family connection to Lund. Three years ago she moved to Lund to be closer to her half-brother, and stayed for three months. She then discovered that it was possible for her to become a Swedish citizen, so she applied. She received her citizenship just days before the application for the Master program in Psychology was due. She quickly applied for the program, got accepted, and moved back to Lund.
– I wanted to study at Lund University because it is an old and good school with both history and presence. The program is great for those who are looking to be involved in research or has a clear vision of what they would like to study within psychology.
Studying gender roles and equality
Caroline herself is studying gender roles and equality.
– Sweden is a great country for that subject, since here is an open dialogue about feminism and equality.
She is also the president of LISP, Lund International Masters Society of Psychology, which is both an academic and social gathering.
– In Lund, you are never far from a social event. Here are tons of things to do, whether you are involved in nations, unions, mentor groups or join a language café. It is great if you want to grow as an international person and be a member of an international community.
