Sure you can code!
A RESEARCH PROJECT ON YOUTH’S PERCEPTION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
The project ”Sure you can code!” investigated gender differences in middle school students ability beliefs and interest in programming. In three publications, we describe how gender differences in ability belief and interest in programming develop, how they relate to gender stereotypes, and how societal interventions such as school education and science center activities impacts them.
The project was run by researchers at the Department of Psychology at Lund University during 2020-2023. It was financed by the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte), Lund University Faculty of Engineering and Sparbanken Skåne. Project leader is Associate Professor Una Tellhed.
