Non-Suicidal Self-Injury among Adolescents: Current State, Preventive Strategies, and Future Outlook.
We are excited to announce an upcoming public seminar organized by our research group in conjunction with Benjamin Claréus' forthcoming dissertation defense.
The seminar will feature Professor Elizabeth Lloyd-Richardson from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, USA, who will serve as Benjamin's opponent.
Professor Lloyd-Richardson is a distinguished international researcher who has conducted research on, among other things, how school personnel can work preventively against self-harm behavior and mental illness. She has also authored popular science books on the subject, such as "Healing Self-Injury: A Compassionate Guide for Parents and Other Loved Ones" (2019, Oxford University Press).
Joining her will be two distinguished members of the examination committee, both recognized experts in the field of self-injury research: Associate Professor Maria Zetterqvist from Linköping University and Professor Lauree Tilton-Weaver from Örebro University. Additionally, our research group will lead a round table discussion, presenting and delving into topics pertaining to non-suicidal self-injury and its preventive measures.
The event will take place in Hörsal Stora Algatan (Stora Algatan 4) on September 22, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and you can find the venue's location on this map: https://goo.gl/maps/pkKzgjHt5bhEMxNZ8
