Katarzyna Bobrowicz: "Flexible problem solving in young children: timeline, methods and implications"
Allmänt seminarium med Katarzyna Bobrowicz, postdoctoral fellow.
Transferring knowledge across situations is a pivotal skill in everyday life. We recently showed that already 2.5-year-olds are capable of such transfers and perform on par with older children, even with a twenty-four-hour delay between two analogical situations. In this seminar, I will present how my current research builds on this result, and what it tells us about early development of flexible problem solving. I will also discuss implications for educational curricula, assessment and informed participation in a democratic society later in life.
