Assessment criteria when accepting new PhD students

Applications will be assessed by at least two senior faculty members, who have no conflict of interest.

Applications are assessed with regard to:

  1. The quality of earlier scientific papers and reports (e.g. Master's theses, published scientific papers).
  2. The feasibility, theoretical foundation, and innovative value of the research plan.
  3. Earlier experience of particular relevance to the research plan (research, clinical work, or similar experience).

These assessments are used to rank applicants. If necessary, top-ranking applications are submitted to a second evaluation round.
