The Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lund University.

The department carries out research, teaching and clinical activity. The total number of students reaches ca. 1450 yearly.


About 50 students are registered in a 4-year PhD programme.

Our Master's Programme in Psychology is a 5-year programme which combined with a 1-year internship leads to a master's degree in psychology and to licensing as a professional psychologist.



The research conducted in the Department of psychology is of many various kinds. The research areas are categorized by divisions and networks.

We have several research divisions such as work and organizational psychology, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology and more.


Our networks are divided into categories such as Social cognition, Forensic psychology and more.
